Our Story Robin was a deputy with the Williamson County Sheriff's Department in Texas for 10 years. To help alleviate the stress that comes with the job, we started having "stress-relief parties" for our shift and their families. We invested in this pit, now called "Texas Ranger," to cook brisket at these parties. It's cooking area is 5'x18"--what we thought was really big back then. In 2000 we moved to Pennsylvania to help out my family. We purchased an existing convenience store in the one-horse town of Claysville. A few months later, we cooked brisket out in front of the store at a local festival. Even though no one up there knew what brisket was, we sold 170 pounds in about 4 hours. That was when we realized the market existed up there for good ole' Texas style barbecue. We started selling barbecue at local fairs, festivals, rodeos and bull ridings. In 2003 I had "Big Daddy", my 10'x4' personal pit, built to keep up with the demand. Our weekend cooking soon became a full-blown catering business. In February of 2006 we felt the Lord taking us on a new adventure, in a new place. We have relocated to the Panhandle of Florida, along the Emerald Coast. 4C BBQ Restaurant in Ponce De Leon, Florida has now been opened 4 years, supplying the area with the best barbecue around, served with excellence and a smile. 4C is our registered brand which stands for "four Christians for Christ". Many years ago we visited a chuck wagon and cowboy sing in Colorado with our friends. We were dreaming of opening a chuck wagon and family entertainment in Texas, and came up with this logo. Now the Lord has led us into another branch of cooking, but we kept the logo. It reminds us of how far we've come through the years. Who knows, maybe the dream will still become a reality The members & staff of 4C BBQ will, at all times, strive to provide quality, great-tasting food at a fair price with friendly service; to create business and personal dealings with positive outcomes for all parties involved; and to show integrity in all we do while obediently ministering the love of Christ represented in our "4C" brand.
